Sewage treatment plant

In General, the wastewater discharge from domestic premises like residences institutions and commercial establishments is termed sewage. It includes waste liquid from the toilets, baths, showers, kitchens, and sinks draining into sewers. Sewage treatment refers to the process of removing contaminants, micro-organisms, and other types of pollutants from wastewater primarily from households sewage. Sewage treatment includes physical, chemical, and biological methods to remove contaminants and produce environmentally safe treated water to make it usable again.

Effluent Treatment Plant

This is a type of wastewater treatment method which is particularly designed to purify industrial wastewater for its reuse and its aim is to release safe water to the environment from the harmful effect caused by the effluent.

Industrial effluents contain various materials depending on the industry. Some effluents contain oil and grease, and some contain toxic materials. (eg. Cyanide). Effluents from food and beverage factories contain degradable organic pollutants. Since industrial wastewater contains adversity of impurities and therefore specific treatment technology called ETP is required.
